Choji Mere Govinda

ਗਉੜੀ ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥
गउड़ी माझ महला ४ ॥

ਚੋਜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਚੋਜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਚੋਜੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
चोजी मेरे गोविंदा चोजी मेरे पिआरिआ हरि प्रभु मेरा चोजी जीउ ॥

Playful is my Govinda; playful is my Beloved. My Lord Hri is wondrous and playful.

ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੁ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੋਪੀ ਖੋਜੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
हरि आपे कान्हु उपाइदा मेरे गोविदा हरि आपे गोपी खोजी जीउ ॥

Hri Himself created Krishna, O my Govinda; Hri Himself is the milkmaids who seek Him.

ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਸਭ ਘਟ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਆਪੇ ਰਸੀਆ ਭੋਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
हरि आपे सभ घट भोगदा मेरे गोविंदा आपे रसीआ भोगी जीउ ॥

Hri Himself enjoys every heart, O my Govinda; He Himself is the Ravisher and the Enjoyer.

ਹਰਿ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਨਭੁਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
हरि सुजाणु न भुलई मेरे गोविंदा आपे सतिगुरु जोगी जीउ ॥१॥

Hri is All-knowing - He cannot be fooled, O my Govinda. He is the True Guru, the Yogi. ||1||

ਆਪੇ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਖੇਲੈ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
आपे जगतु उपाइदा मेरे गोविदा हरि आपि खेलै बहु रंगी जीउ ॥

He Himself created the world, O my Govinda; Hri Himself plays in so many ways!

ਇਕਨਾ ਭੋਗ ਭੋਗਾਇਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਇਕਿ ਨਗਨ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਨੰਗ ਨੰਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
इकना भोग भोगाइदा मेरे गोविंदा इकि नगन फिरहि नंग नंगी जीउ ॥

Some enjoy enjoyments, O my Govinda, while others wander around naked, the poorest of the poor.

ਆਪੇ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਭ ਮੰਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
आपे जगतु उपाइदा मेरे गोविदा हरि दानु देवै सभ मंगी जीउ ॥
He Himself created the world, O my Govinda; Hri gives His gifts to all who beg for them.


ਭਗਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਮੰਗਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੰਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
भगता नामु आधारु है मेरे गोविंदा हरि कथा मंगहि हरि चंगी जीउ ॥२॥

His devotees have the Support of the Naam, O my Govinda; they beg for the sublime sermon of the Hri. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਇਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਲੋਚ ਮਨਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
हरि आपे भगति कराइदा मेरे गोविंदा हरि भगता लोच मनि पूरी जीउ ॥

Hri Himself inspires His devotees to worship Him, O my Govinda; Hri fulfills the desires of the minds of His devotees.

ਆਪੇ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਨਹੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
आपे जलि थलि वरतदा मेरे गोविदा रवि रहिआ नही दूरी जीउ ॥

He Himself is permeating and pervading the waters and the lands, O my Govinda; He is All-pervading - He is not far away.
  
ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

हरि अंतरि बाहरि आपि है मेरे गोविदा हरि आपि रहिआ भरपूरी जीउ ॥

Hri Himself is within the self, and outside as well, O my Govinda; Hri Himself is fully pervading everywhere.

ਹਰਿ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਹਦੂਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
हरि आतम रामु पसारिआ मेरे गोविंदा हरि वेखै आपि हदूरी जीउ ॥३॥

Hri, the Supreme Soul, is diffused everywhere, O my Govinda. Hri Himself beholds all; His Immanent Presence is pervading everywhere. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਾਜਾ ਪਉਣੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਜਾਏ ਤਿਉ ਵਾਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥

हरि अंतरि वाजा पउणु है मेरे गोविंदा हरि आपि वजाए तिउ वाजै जीउ ॥

O Hri, the music of the praanic wind is deep within, O my Govinda; as Hri Himself plays this music, so does it vibrate and resound.

ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਗਾਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥
हरि अंतरि नामु निधानु है मेरे गोविंदा गुर सबदी हरि प्रभु गाजै जीउ ॥

O Hri, the treasure of the Naam is deep within, O my Govinda; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, Hri is revealed.

ਆਪੇ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਵਾਇਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਰਾਖੁ ਲਾਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥
आपे सरणि पवाइदा मेरे गोविंदा हरि भगत जना राखु लाजै जीउ ॥

He Himself leads us to enter His Sanctuary, O my Govinda; Hri preserves the honor of His devotees.

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਿਲੁ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਾਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੪॥੩੦॥੬੮॥
वडभागी मिलु संगती मेरे गोविंदा जन नानक नाम सिधि काजै जीउ ॥४॥४॥३०॥६८॥

By great good fortune, one joins the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, O my Govinda; O servant Nanak, through the Naam, one's affairs are resolved. ||4||4||30||68||
