About

One immutable OM

This is a small attempt by this insignificant devotee of Lord Govind to translate bani of Gurus and devotees. Respectable Gurus have given the message of doing good Karma and remembering God at all times. Many names for God have been used in Sri Guru Granth Sahib by the authors. The Name Hri appears 8344 times, Ram 2533 times, Gopal 491 times, Gobind 475 times, Prabhu 1371 times, Murari (destroyer of Mur) 97 times, Narayan 85 times, Allah (al-ilāh, The God) 46 times, Bhagwan 30 times, Madhav 27 times, Krishna 22 times, Rab 17 times, Narsingh 16 times, Damodar (tied by rope around the belly, Krishna) 15 times, Banwari (one who roams in forests, Krishna) 15 times, Waheguru 13 times, and Madhu-sudan (destroyer of Madhu) 9 times. Thus, the Bani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib denote God with various names and encourage universal brotherhood.

It is my personal opinion that this translation could provide only rough idea as the exact meaning and message of Gurbani could only be understood by the grace of Guru and Lord Ram. Please excuse this small devotee of Lord Hri if it contains any errors and please help me to improve the content by notifying me the errors. It would be extremely kind of you if you could share it and spread the message.

Barse Megh Sakhi
Eh Bid Sunke Jatro
Pehla maran kabool
Sura So Pehchaniye
Kesaa ka kar chavar dhulava
Vin Boleya Sabh Kish Janda
Sukh tera dita lahiye
Kar Kirpa Tere Gun Gavan
Ja tu mere wal hai ta kya muchanda
Koi bole ram ram
Tum karo daya mere sai
Dakhni Onkaar Onkaar Brahma Utpat
Jiske Sir Upar Tu Swami
Har Jiyo Nimaniyan Tu Maan
Maas Maas Kar Moorakh Jhagde
Haq Paraya Nanka
Jaise Mein Aave Khasam Ki Bani
Kaisi Aarti Hoye
khurasan khas mana kiya
Aiti Maar Payi
Gagan Mein Thaal
Allah Alakh Agam
Lakh khushiyan patshayian
Ram Ras Piya Re
Sab Gobind Hai
Daya Kapah Santokh Sut
Choji Mere Govinda
Charan Chalo Marag Gobind
Satguru Nanak Pargateya
Bawre Tain Gyan Vichar Na Paya
Prabh Kirpa Te Man Vas Aaya
Hum Kookar Tere Darbar
Deh Shiva Bar Mohe
Aage Sukh Mere Meeta
Tohi mohi antar kaisa
Tu Samrath Vada
Sabhe Ghat Ram Bole
Poota mata ki asees
Dukh Lage Na Bhai | Tatti Wao Na Lagei
Sachkhand Vase Nirankar
Tu Mera Pita Tu Hai Mera Mata
Bolo Ram Kare Nistara
Parbrahm Parmeshwar
Moh Manga Soi Devda
Mohe Lagti Tala Beli
Prabh Kirpa Te Man Vas Paiya
